October 13th is my launch as SFU’s Writer in Residence. Last year’s WiR, the great Mercedes Eng, read poems from each stage of her career at her launch’s tying them in with her evolution as a writer. I agreed to try something similar. There will be a reading, but I’m also hoping to prepare something new. It might not come together—I’ve made several attempts already—but I think I can finish by then.
