Oh nice! I'd like to read that and the Austen one, once I get more of a grip on their work. Both of her Dickens books are tremendous.
I never knew about that hotel occupation, good article. (And I'm reading Empire of Pain right now, very well written but it's hard stuff to read about.)
Sure is. Brittany Barnett's A Knock After Midnight had the same effect on me--insensible cruelty on display.
