I just finished The Last Exile. I was hooked five pages in. As is always the case with your books, I got caught up in Wakeland’s life, trying to figure how he will balance the violence inherent in his character with existing in the part of society where he must contriol that part of himself absolutely. That is where I see the tension in this series. I already look forward to where Dave goes from here. Cheers and here’s hoping that your books become as immensely popular as they deserve to be!
I am sooo enjoying The Last Exile (ordered through my local bookseller some weeks ago). Unfortunately, it is f*king up my sleep cycle as I read until wayyy too late.
I knew it was going to be a problem as soon as I picked up the book. I will make it through. Only one more night of reading and I’m done. And then I’m waiting on the next one. That’s the problem: these books take so much longer to write than they do to read. Keep it up! (ps. I believe we share a Mennonite background. I once -long, long ago- started writing a crime novel set in a rural Mennonite community. Maybe, while I’m waiting for the next Wakeland, I should revive that project, a Mennonite murder mystery…)

Thanks, Keith! I appreciate it. You're right and perceptive, that's a real tension in his character.
Congratulations on Shot in Vancouver! Such a great idea for a book. Can't wait to read it.
Thanks, man!

Best Wakeland so far. Thank you.
Thanks so much! And sorry about the sleep schedule.
