A look at some great (and not great) noirs
Some good choices. I am going to slag Woman in the Window as a bad or non-noir in a few weeks. Mainly because of that ending.
I feel like it works for that particular story, and actually makes it rougher, since that whole fantasy is just floating around in his head. Plus, if they all end in bleak realism there's no surprises. But fair.
If they all ended in bleak realism that would make me very happy 😆
Where did you find these to watch? I would like to dive in. And do you recommend any books to read alongside any of these films?
