Sunset and Jericho
In one month Sunset and Jericho comes out. The most personal, the most political, and the best novel I've written. Please consider pre-ordering it at your local bookstore.
I think of Sunset and Jericho as "the Long Goodbye of the Wakeland series," because Marlowe wears his heart on his sleeve in that one, and pays for it dearly. Long Goodbye is about what you owe your friends, and S&J is about what something similar.
On one side, City Hall and the rich; on the other, a group waging violent class warfare. And Wakeland in the middle, realizing he has less in common with those he works for than those he's after.
These are not the kinds of stories that are 'in' right now, but Sunset and Jericho is exactly what I wanted to write. If you pre-order it, I'll get to write more. Thank you.
